Family Activities in Perthshire

I think this trip was the perfect tonic for this happy family. They were from London and seemed to live busy lives so it was great to see them taking in the wonderful scenery and tranquil atmosphere of Perthshire. They seemed really relaxed by the end of the week.

The kids hadn't done much in the way of activities before but I really enjoyed teaching them how to hold a canoe paddle and coaxing them up the rock climbs. Even though they could cycle, they found the mountain biking a great thrill as we raced through the forests.  The parents took great delight in watching their kids learn but I'm pretty sure they had a superb time too!

Round the campfire over on the island, we watched the stars come out and no-one spoke for over half an hour. The paddle back to shore under the stars is always a magical experience!
