TRIP REPORT
Sea Kayaking the Outer Hebrides
On this challenging trip through the Outer Hebrides we were lucky to have some great weather. On the ferry out to Harris we saw some common dolphins, along with a few harbour porpoises. Following the coastline north, we explored Loch Seaforth on Lewis by sea kayak and continued paddling to Loch Bhrollum, checking out the coves along the way. We camped at some beautiful, remote places and didn’t see another person for three days!
The wild flowers along the clifftops and the machair were so colourful. I always think sea kayaking in this area gives me a new perspective on the landscape and I highly recommend this trip to any competent sea kayaker.
