Our professional photography partners

In journeying to the wildest places of the Scotland, our clients and guides are afforded some incredible photographic opportunities. However many of the images you see on our website are the work of true experts. Wilderness Scotland is proud to work in association with two of Britain's finest landscape and outdoor photographers.

In response to demand from our clients, we have run photography trips with one of our key partners, Colin Prior, since 2006. These trips will allow you to improve your photography while based in magnificent wilderness areas.

Colin Prior is one of the UK's leading landscape photographers. His spectacular panoramic images capture the beauty and eternal quality of the world's wild places, especially those of his native Scotland.

He brings to his work a strong personal vision combined with supreme technical mastery of his chosen medium. Shooting at the 'magic hours' of dawn or dusk, he is able to catch those rare moments when composition, fine light and colour combine to create a remarkable image. Each photograph uniquely captures fleeting moments of nature that will never repeat itself exactly.

Colin Prior

It is this timeless quality that is the hallmark of Colin's work, which features some of the wildest and most remote mountain landscapes in Scotland and throughout the world from Patagonia to Kenya and Bhutan to Namibia.

Colin's work has received considerable critical acclaim. His four calendar commissions for British Airways have won him numerous awards and he has had two major solo exhibitions, The Scottish Visual Experience and Lands' End.
