Mini Bio
I was born within the sound of Bow Bells which means I’m a true cockney!! But after visiting the Highlands since age 11years old I knew my heart belonged to Scotland. My family would visit every New Year and Easter to ski in the Cairngorms and I knew from then that this was where I wanted to live. I joined the Metropolitan Police and then in 1998 transferred to Northern Constabulary and was posted to Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides and later in Inverness. I retired from the Police after 30+ years of service and wanted a new challenge applying to work for the Wilderness Team sharing my knowledge of the Highlands and Islands.
Place to Play
During the lockdown, I reignited my love of swimming in open water and where better than in the beautiful lochs around the Highlands! I also love hill walking with my dogs….oh and my hubby… I’m looking forward to having more adventures with the Wilderness team.
Not a lot of people know this
I love good food, who doesn’t! So I have started growing my own veg in an allotment I share with a couple of friends. I also like a good glass of Chablis champagne and going to live gigs. I once stopped Dr Who (Tom Baker) and got his autograph in my Police notebook while I was on patrol in Inverness…
