I grew up in the Highlands, but moved away after school to study Architecture in Edinburgh. Architecture wasn’t quite my thing, and I very quickly got into the travel industry which led to a stint in London and several ski seasons in France and Italy. In 2017, I returned ‘home’ to the Cairngorms having spent 4 years in the French Alps.
I have a massive soft spot for the Cairngorms; it’s right on our doorstep, and offers just about everything you could ever want; lochs, mountains, forest trails and even the UK’s premier ski resort!
Outside of Scotland, it has to be the Chamonix valley where I lived for several years. The high mountains that rise dramatically out of the valley are so accessible, and it is one of the most stunning places I have ever seen.
I made it to the Semi-Finals of Junior Masterchef when I was 13 years old. I didn’t make the cut for the TV version though, as I suspect the competition was rigged.
