Me in 3: Friendly | happy | motivational | (my son says bonkers!)
Favourite places to play: Riding all the fab single track just outside my front door!
Not a lot of people know this: I played against Andy Murray when he was 11… guess who won?!
Mini bio: I learnt to ski when I was a wee nipper and have never really looked back. A politics degree wasn’t really going to change my love of snow sports so I decided to make the move to the Highlands for good and build a career teaching in the outdoors.
I have worked winters on Cairngorm Mountain ever since and have had the pleasure to meet amazing people from all over the world and work alongside some of the most fantastic instructors. My summers used to be taken up with coaching tennis and I still keep up with this, but I suppose my midlife discovery (definitely not a crisis!) is Mountain Biking. There’s not many activities you can do with friends that create the feelings of excitement, freedom, adrenalin, peace and achievement all in one ride. I have been lucky enough to travel to many wonderful places but I always love coming home to Scotland, and there’s nothing better than exploring this beautiful country than on my bike!
