Mini Bio
I have had the privilege of journeying across Himalayan peaks in Bhutan, looking into the throats of Indonesian volcanoes, swimming among hammerhead sharks in the Galapagos and immersing myself in the cultural and spiritual practices of the Indian Subcontinent.
With strong Northern Irish roots and a love for nature, inspired among the County Down Mourne Mountains, I set off to explore the world. Graduating with a Masters degree in Urban Planning from Oxford Brookes University I lived in Southern Africa, South America and Asia supporting humanitarian and development projects, including a spell with the United Nations in Ecuador.
On returning to the UK in 2008 and with a shift in focus towards transformational adventures I have spent the last 10 years leading international expeditions and supported young people in achieving their Duke of Edinburgh Awards in many of the UK’s wild places. I love sharing my passion for the UK’s historic trails and mountainscapes. They are truly world-class! While Scotland is epic the gentler undulations of the Cotswolds also provide stunning vistas.
