    Mini Bio

I was introduced to hill-walking at the age of 8 by my father and he was teaching me how to navigate by the time I was 12! I grew up exploring the Lake District and Snowdonia before moving to Scotland 23 years ago where my Munro adventures began. I completed my first round of the Munros in 2004 and regularly return to my favourite mountain areas. I enjoy single and multi-day adventures and I am at my happiest when in the outdoors, frequently accompanied by my 11-year-old collie cross, Moss.

I studied Geology at the University of Edinburgh and am currently working towards the final module of an MSc in Environmental Management. I hold the Summer and Winter Mountain Leader Awards and I am a qualified Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician. When not guiding I work in ecology and environmental education with extensive knowledge of both natural and cultural history. In my spare time, I volunteer as a member of Tayside Mountain Rescue Team and I am trained in all aspects of search and rescue.
