I am a passionate mountain biker and mechanic of over ten years and have an enthusiasm for anything with wheels, having spent most of my adult life in education studying to be a graphics designer I decided to launch headfirst into the world of work and travel to New Zealand to work in a Primary School. After returning to Scotland I realised my true passion was in the outdoors which is why I moved to Fort William to study Adventure Tourism Management.

Since graduating last year I have been keen to cut my teeth in the world of guiding as well as facilitating my passion for all things bicycle-related. I’m super excited to work alongside some well-respected and renowned guides and hopefully hit a few trails along the way.

    Place to play

Anywhere in the Cairngorms, the scenery is amazing and the trails are even better.

Not a lot of people know this

I practice circus skills in my spare time, likes of unicycling, juggling and slacklining just to make sure I’m not taking myself too seriously.

Both Jim and Findlay were amazing. They were kind, caring, interesting, and an absolute pleasure to spend a week with. We loved the quiet calm of Findlay, he was a master of letting everyone have their own experience. Both Jim and Findlay worked so hard. Our bikes were always ready to ride, and they had infinite patience when we couldn't use our garmen's. We would take a tour with both these wonderful guides again.

I would give a better than excellent if it were available. These two men made this trip special. Not one criticism or suggestion to give. They were perfect.

Jim and Finlay absolutely made the trip. Knowledgable, sought out answers to questions they could not answer. Great at dealing with small emergencies

Finlay was a great support. Even on the days where he didn't ride with us (we also had Tom), we still felt like he was keeping things together on the backend. It was great knowing we didn't have to worry about anything. And they both were very adaptive to changing circumstances - we had several "hiccups" which had to be accounted for last minute (a cafe closing, a landslide which blocked the train, disrupted routes) and the guys pivoted with ease (at least, from our standpoint). It made for a great trip, trusting in them both.

Our guides made for great travel companions. They worked great as a team, figuring out backup plans, fun side-trips, and new lunch spots. Also, they were both super-fit, yet patient with riders of our skill level.

Finlay was awesome. We couldn't have asked for a nicer and more patient guide! He was polite, thoughtful, caring, and funny...a pleasure to be with.

    Make Trip Private

Sometimes it's nice to get family and friends together and travel privately for some quality time. This means you benefit from all the features of the group departure, including hand-picked accommodation and expert local guides and we'll take care of it all. Then you can make your choice of departures dates and we'll get back to you to finalise the details.

We work together with our team of guides to decide which departures they lead each year. As part of that, guides provide available dates that they are free to be booked. This means that any of the dates you see in the first field of the form below, could be perfect for your private departure or customised tour.
