    Mini Bio:

Coming from the ‘sunny south’, when I arrived into Scotland for University, I was blow away. The remoteness, adventure potential and friendly people meant it couldn’t leave.

My drive in life is to seek out amazing new places to have adventurers with friends. Scotland has these places in abundance and stumbling across them by boat is the best.

Adventure has taken me to every corner of the globe; whitewater kayaking in the Bornean jungle, sea kayaking around Hong Kong and trekking in the Himalayas. However, my circumnavigation of Scotland by sea kayak has a special place in my heart.

    Place to Play

Any secluded West Coast island that has a bothy, beach and brilliant sunset.

Not a lot of people know this

I used to play the drums in a jazz band that toured round Europe.

    Adventurer's Stories about Jonny

Johnny and Paul were both outstanding!
When I told Johnnie I was working towards my BCU 4 Star Sea Kayak Leader Award, he was extremely helpful in advising and explaining how to plan trips using weather forecasts and local knowledge. He was full of top tips and even gave me a training session efficient paddling strokes.
Paul also spent time helping me and giving me tips on how to roll my kayak.

I think they both worked extremely well together with Johnny's technical skills and Paul with his history and knowledge of the local flora and fauna which led to a thoroughly enjoyable paddling holiday - one which I hope to repeat next year!

I've just returned from a paddling holiday in Croatia (hence the late review) and it didn't even come anywhere near the pleasure I got from paddling with Wilderness Scotland. So your guides get 10 stars out of 5 for an outstanding experience.

As mentioned before the guides were excellent. Johnny’s happy and enthusiastic demeanour could turn even the greyest Scottish day into a ray of sunshine.

Johny was a great guide, who shared enough knowledge to be informative, but not a lecture. he obviously enjoys his work. Couldn't have asked for a better guide
