Mini bio:
Aero-Mechanical Engineer taking off in a new direction, following a passion for being in the mountains – either by bike, skis or feet – grounded in the highlands of Scotland. Choosing an office with fresh air, beautiful views, some (lots of) rain, whilst sharing incredible experiences with others! Will enthusiastically chat all day about wildlife, nature and the environment. Always up for an adventure; solo paraglided in Morocco, scuba dived in Scapa Flow, climbed in Spain, raced mountain bikes for the Army in Italy, snorkelled in Iceland, and worked in the Alps and Sardinia. But always come home to Scotland.
Place to play:
Anywhere that takes me away from the hustle and bustle and into the mountains! I prefer a moody atmospheric day with the views constantly changing. Cairngorms will always have a soft spot. In some of my favourite local lochs I have scuba dived, swam, ice skated and paddle boarded; and on the other end of the spectrum the Cairngorm mountains provides an epic landscape for biking, running and snowboarding, all filled with some of most incredible wildlife and beautiful habitats. I also love discovering a completely new place, spending a night away in a remote bothy with friends, card games and good food.
Not many people know about me:
I am a blackbelt in taekwondo – and got my first (and only) nose bleed after getting punched in the face at a sparring competition! Ironically, I am an active member at the giving blood centre!
