I am originally from a small European country where you can find chocolate, beer and waffles a volonté. But most of my adult life I have lived in other European countries; studying in Northern Norway, leading dogsledding trips in Arctic Finland and hopping my way between the Alps and the British Isles as an outdoor guide. Now I live in Scotland by the Cairngorms National Park and truly enjoy discovering this new beautiful playground, the Scottish vibe and local delicacies!

    Places to Play

I used to find myself somehow on some slightly more crazy, tough, hugely satisfying adventures, but after living and guiding in the Alps, where every mountain day is sunny, starts with a coffee stop and ends with an Italian ice-cream, I fear I’ve adapted a more bon vivant approach to my outdoor adventures. I love to play anywhere on foot or skis but also enjoy spending more time around my new home in Scotland.

Not a lot of people know

I play the accordion and occasionally join in with a good folk evening in the pub!

    Specialist Subject Read More

I’m a jack of all trades and know a little bit of everything, although I would like to believe I’ve accumulated some knowledge by now. Apart from my modest expertise in Alpine flowers and new interest in photography, I am always interested in the stories places tell and am likely to know some random facts and tales!

    Adventurer's Stories about Lotte

Emy is a really excellent guide - well-organised, thoughtful and caring. She was skillful in recognising and coping with the very different abilities and needs of each member of the group, and ensured we could safely enjoy the walk at different speeds. I am very grateful for her help and encouragement, which enabled me to enjoy and complete the walk.

Our guide Ken, willingly shared his knowledge of the area and being local, was able to adapt walks easily according to the weather and our interests. He is approachable, with a great sense of humour and love for the great outdoors.
