I booked my travel at the same time - I didn't realise I should wait until you confirmed the booking. Not a problem in my case, but you might want to make that clear ( or did I miss it?)

Great setting (Doune), particularly the dining experience.

I enjoyed the 'immersive' experience, I'm unlikely ever to be a big poetry fan, but enjoyed seeing that aspect, and all the other stuff (firelighting, bones, flora, birds, oneness with nature, etc)
The Bottom Line
Brilliantly conceived and executed - mixture of remoteness of walks, with comfort in the evenings

Pete, our guide was great. What made it special was his offering of a poem at the start of every day, which he made relevant to each individual trip.
The group was fantastic, we even got together on the last night to take part in a proper Ceilidh - each person taking turns to read a poem or sing a song. A truly memorable experience.
The food was excellent, Andy and Liz took very good care of us and were exceptionally kind. All-round, a great holiday.
Accommodation and Food
Liz and the team's cuisine was truly excellent. I have put on 7 pounds but it was well worth it!

The Bottom Line
I would recommend this company each time for a memorable holiday. Thanks guys!

Pete was outstanding! He made a point to walk and talk with everyone on the hikes. He told us poems during the hikes which made it more fun!

I have completely fallen in love with scotland. The whole experience of doing the West highland way was truly wonderful
Accommodation and Food
I couldnt fault anything except my guilt at staying in lovely b&b knowing there where people camping and carrying heavy loads especially when it rained
Your Guide
The route notes and maps where excellent. For someone who has no sense of direction and is notorious for getting lost i have to say I managed to do neither. The calvalray wasn't required.
The Bottom Line
Best time ever. Thank you

I had a helpful chat with your guide ahead of the trip to find out more about what to expect. Emails were responded to quickly and were very clear. The pre-trip information pack is great. Also appreciated the lastminute call on the first day when our guide was running a bit late in traffic.
Trip Comments
Malcolm is a great guide. Knowledgeable on many subjects that brought the landscape to life - Scottish history, geology, flora and fauna. Professional in his organisation of the group around logistics and when safety was important (e.g. steep descents). And a keen eye - both in the context of tips on photography and in spotting the minuscule profile of a stag atop a hilltop a mile away! His willingness to adapt the itinerary to suit the group's fitness abilities and interests was the most impressive aspect and hugely appreciated, especially as this meant he had to pour over maps late at night after a long day. Accommodation and food at the Lovat was exceptional.

The last day at the Tree for Life is a brilliant touch. Hopefully people coming on these trips value and appreciate the landscapes they are fortunate enough to see. To learn about a project that is directly engaging with the maintenance and furtherance of these landscapes makes for a more enlightened trip and meaningful engagement with the wilderness, which I really appreciated.
Accommodation and Food
The Lovat is exceptional. Very comfortable room (though I did have a single supplement), very polite and helpful staff, and really high-class (presumably award-winning) food. It's hard to compete with that high standard and the other two restaurants used on the trip were inevitably not the same but still good food. And I'd rather have the variety of places on different nights albeit it was a good idea to have the first and last meal at the Lovat. The Lovat also had a great lounge and fireplace for post-dinner whiskies.
Your Guide
Please see earlier comments about Malcolm. Was also nice that he took some great pics on the walk that WS has a facility to share afterwards - nice touch.
The Bottom Line
Professionally run trip from end-to-end. Knowledgeable, experienced, approachable guide. Exceptional accommodation and food. Nice balance of activity and relaxation. All wrapped in an environmentally aware package.

(As a slight aside, we were very lucky that the group members had similar fitness levels and so were able to move away from the Easy grading of the trip on every day. Perhaps it would be ideal if there was a moderate graded trip for the Autumn Highlands too? It's a great time to visit and in hindsight might not have felt as satisfying a week if we had to drop to the lowest denominator in the group on very easy trails. Or are there back-up plans if there is a real split in abilities in group? I appreciate it's difficult to cater for all situations though.)
