    Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 - Welcome to Skye

This morning, meet your guide at Inverness Railway Station. Travel east along the shores of Loch Ness, arriving at Dundreggan Estate. Located in the heart of the Highlands, Dundreggan is the flagship of Trees for Life, a charity dedicated to rewilding the Scottish Highlands. Join an ambassador for a walk and hear about how you can make a difference. After lunch, continue your journey to Skye, pausing to stretch your legs around a secluded bay, looking for great northern divers and red-breasted mergansers. Arrive in your cosy accommodation this evening and take the time to settle in. (L, D)

Day 2 - Hiking on Skye

Enjoy a hearty breakfast before journeying north to embark on a mindfulness walk. Wind your way up soaring sea cliffs and around rocky inlets, keeping a look out for the glistening slope of an otter. As you walk, your guide will bring your attention to winter birds and the fascinating topography of the land. Back at your cosy accommodation, enjoy a delicious, locally sourced and sustainable dinner before wrapping up warm to head out to stargaze under an inky, glittering sky. (B, L, D)

Day 3 - Discovering the Wild Landscape

With your expert guide, set out to reconnect with nature. Begin the day with a walk along a wild beach, joined only by the piping cries of oystercatchers and the friendly huff of seals as they bob their silky heads above the water. As you wander, you may wish to gather shellfish and early seaweed pointed out to you by your guide, before leaving the white-capped waves behind and heading inland to walk among the hedgerows. This afternoon, continue your walk, winding through the machair to arrive at a crescent of pearly white sand. For those that wish to brave the cold, take this opportunity to plunge into the wintery waves for a quick dip before returning to the group for a warming cup of hot chocolate. (B, L, D)

Day 4 - Yoga and Meditation

Begin the day with a private yoga session and guided meditation either outside in the crisp morning air or cosy inside in front of the fire. Allow the time to recharge and spend time purely focusing on yourself. After a nutritious lunch, enjoy a free afternoon to spend as you please. Find a cuddly nook to write, or relax by the wood burner with a book. Your guide will be available if you wish to head out for an invigorating walk along a sandy beach or along the salt-stung cliffs. This evening, gather together over dinner to chat and share stories. (B, L, D)

Day 5 - Sunrise and Homeward

The joy of a winter sunrise walk doesn’t necessitate waking up in the half-lidded hours of the morning. Rather, wake feeling refreshed and join your guide for a walk to watch the sunrise over the sea. Sip hot coffee as the barren beauty of the island awakes to the wintery dawn. Feeling lifted and calm, return to the warmth of the wood burner for a lovely breakfast. After, travel back to Inverness, pausing for beautiful views and a small walk along the way. Arrive back at the railway station, saying goodbye to your group and your guide, before continuing your onward journey. (B, L)
