But if it’s an immersive, 5-star, off-the-beaten-path adventure your clients are looking for then we’re confident you needn’t look any further for your go-to in-country partner.
Here at Wilderness Scotland and Wilderness Ireland our focus is on creating unforgettable, end-to-end, 5-star holiday experiences. With over 16 years experience designing and delivering bespoke adventure holidays across the UK & Ireland for a broad range of international clients, we believe our approach to designing and delivering bespoke adventure holidays is second to none.
Unlike many other specialist DMCs and ground handlers, we are very much based on the ground in Scotland and Ireland meaning that as a team, we literally live and breathe the product every day. This means that we are that much closer to the final client experience knowing what works and what doesn’t! Indeed as an award-winning adventure tour operator ourselves, we also deliver much of the holiday experience in-house through our professional guiding team, on-the-ground knowledge and internal resources, so we have a much higher degree of control over the final client experience.
We also pride ourselves on a friendly, transparent approach to doing business and with a knowledgeable and responsive office team of 35 full-time staff spread across Scotland and Ireland, we are small enough to offer that personal touch but big enough to make things happen!

Being on the ground and in-the-know also means we can offer clients unparalleled insight into the destinations, as well as to many of the regions’ top insider experiences. These experiences range from memorable encounters with characterful locals to moments of rich cultural and historic immersion which are expertly woven into all our bespoke multi-day adventure holidays.
End-to-end fully-guided bespoke adventure holidays are our forte and without a doubt the cornerstone of these experiences is our amazing team of professional outdoor guides. Indeed we frequently hear from our clients that the difference between their holiday being good and their holiday being phenomenal was their guide and with 90% of our clients giving our guides the highest possible score in trip feedback, we’re confident your clients are in safe hands.
Each of our guides is handpicked and as well as holding qualifications to allow them to lead hikes, bike rides, sea kayaking etc (essential for guiding in the UK & Ireland!), they also go through in-house continual professional development training which covers everything from customer care to astronomy, from Gaelic mythology to story telling skills, and from the local flora and fauna to whisky, gin and wine tasting!
Last but not least, all our guides hold a valid UK or Irish drivers licence and are qualified to drive our own fleet of comfortable 8 seater mini vans as well as a wide range of luxury and executive hire cars we frequently incorporate on tailor made holidays.

Fortunately with our dedicated in-house team of accommodation specialists and our handpicked network of trusted accommodation partners, we make this process easy for clients and simply part of the overall package when it comes to holiday design and delivery.

We work with each accommodation to offer our clients both great value for money and an outstanding authentic holiday experience.

Scotland and Ireland are destinations rich in outstanding natural beauty, so lend themselves to some incredible outdoor experiences. It is for this reason that ever since the company’s beginnings in 2001, our mantra has always been to connect clients with the great outdoors in a meaningful and inspiring way. It is therefore this natural element that sets our itineraries apart and which is expertly woven into all of our trips in one form or another. So whether it’s hiking Ireland’s holiest mountain with a passionate local guide, discovering Scotland’s rich marine wildlife by private zodiac or simply indulging in a coastal foraging and malt whisky discovery class, nature and the outdoors often forms an integral part of the overall client experience.
