Spring is fighting back – plan your next wilderness adventure!

We all know what an incredible winter it has been in Scotland, with record snowfalls and freezing temperatures, and while there is still loads of snow on the high mountains, there are sure signs that spring is on its way!

On my walk to work in the morning, there were snowdrops everywhere, crocuses offering vibrant splashes of colour and even the braver daffodils are thinking about trying to catch some sunshine. In the Highlands, the great banks of snow which lined roadsides for much of the winter have diminished and spring flowers are also making an appearance there.

But perhaps the most noticeable difference is that the sun is beginning to feel strong again. It’s still cool outside but when the sun is shining, you don’t need a hat, gloves or a down jacket any more. It’s really quite pleasant! Especially after the winter.

With the coming of spring, new wilderness adventures are born and the mind races with anticipation of sunny summer days and how to spend them. So what are your plans? Will you learn to sea kayak, mountain bike coast to coast across Scotland, go sailing through the Scottish islands, or enjoy that walking holiday in the Outer Hebrides you’ve been promising yourself?

The options are endless but time passes quickly so this is the time to plan! Our office team have a great passion for Scotland’s wild places and are happy to offer suggestions of which trip might best match your interests. Please give us a call on 0131 625 6635 and speak with Tim or Stevie.
