    The magic of Sandwood Bay, North West Highlands

    “Just to be. Just to be able to be”.

    Sandwood Bay must be one of the most therapeutic places on earth. The crashing waves, soaring birds and endless white sand stretches away. Allowing you to simply soak up the wild surroundings of the North West Highlands.

    Catriona, one of our guests on a walking trip to the North West Highlands earlier this year, had dreamed of visiting Sandwood Bay since she was a little girl. Her grandfather had once worked at the lighthouse nearby and told tales of this pristine white beach encompassed by cliffs.

    Unfortunately during her trip with us, the day before they were due to visit Sandwood Bay, Catriona fell ill and had to leave the group. A few weeks ago we decided to give her a wee surprise.

    This is what happened and we were just blown away to hear from her what it meant:
