      Mini Bio

      Born and bred in Northern Ireland, after completing university, I went travelling in Australia for a year, which was a wonderful opportunity.

      I ended up having a complete career switch, joining the Merchant Navy and training to become a Deck Officer, having always had a love for the sea and ships, which brought me to Glasgow.

      Through my career at sea, I met my Scottish husband and ended up working in the offshore industry before moving into the shoreside marine sector.

      I’ve always had a love for nature and getting outside, but feel in the last few years it has become a real passion, so I decided to swap the marine career for a slower pace of life here in the Highlands – I haven’t looked back since!

      Favourite Place to Play

      Without a doubt, the Cairngorms, there is nothing quite like wandering amongst the Scots Pines beside Loch Morlich in the shade of the mountains, truly magical.

      I never feel more at peace than when I am at home in the Highlands. I also have a special spot for Shetland – wild, rugged and breathtaking!

      Not a lot of People Know This

      I have a BSc in Archaeology-Palaeoecology and absolutely adore history!
