We package each tour so that accommodation, route notes, maps, baggage transfer and 24-hour support is taken care of.       On each of our self guided walking holidays, you’ll experience the magnificent scenery of Scotland at your own pace. 

      Self guided walking holidays offer the perfect combination of immersion in the lush Scottish landscape, hiking at your own pace and the freedom to explore anything of interest along the way, without the feeling that you’re holding anyone else up.

      On a Wilderness Scotland self guided tour you might be walking on your own but you’ve got the support of 24 hour assistance from the office team, plus the route notes, maps and luggage transfer that we arrange in advance for you.

      Journey from inn to inn, or hotel to hotel knowing that a warm welcome awaits you and that your bags will be there waiting for you. Long distance walking trails like the world renowned and iconic West Highland Way and Rob Roy Way are particular favourites for self guided walkers.

      You certainly don’t need to be an expert hiker to take on a self guided holiday, however, you do need to be more self-reliant. To book any of these trips, you must be travelling with at least one other person. If you are travelling on your own, we hope that you will be interested in joining one of our small group guided walking holidays.
