      Winter in Scotland offers dramatic majesty, and wrapped up warm, you can comfortably embrace the bracing, refreshing weather. It is a season that invigorates the spirit while making space for inner calm.

      Our winter holidays take you to wild islands and forested mountains, and both show winter at its best. On the islands, you’ll often have the beach to yourself. Breathe in the salty air, watch icy Atlantic waves dance along the shore, and stay out for a sunset that feels like it’s just for you. Inland, winter looks exactly as you’d imagine it: snow-dusted peaks, frosty lochs and pine forests that sparkle in the cold. Roam the glens with only red deer and shockingly white mountain hares for company.

      Join us for a winter walking tour or wildlife-watching experience, where hardy visitors are rewarded with unforgettable sights: seals hauled out along the shore and red deer moving through the glens.

      After a crisp day outdoors, return to the warmth of a true Scottish welcome, with cosy evenings by the fire, a warming dram, and local stories to round off the day.

              As a taster trip i thought it was an excellent introduction to Knoydart, now knowing about the area, i would say it was too short and could have been expanded by two even three days. Most inspirational moment was finding out there's more to life than a mountain on seeing animals i had only ever seen on the telly. So, the bad weather did us a favour it widened our view of the peninsula.
