Scotland has over 790 offshore islands, most of which are to be found in four main groups: Shetland, Orkney, The Inner Hebrides and The Outer Hebrides.
This beautiful region of Scotland is very sparsely populated, with many mountain ranges dominating the region. It includes the highest mountain in the British Isles, Ben Nevis, at 1344 metres.
