Born in County Durham to an outdoor enthusiast father, my childhood was spent exploring the lakes, dales and moors of the North of England. My early ambition to be a teacher took me to Sunderland University where I studied Early Childhood and Educational Studies. Once graduating, my need to have fun and travel took me down south and eventually took me to a very small island in the Channel Islands, I gained a Highland husband on my adventures and this brought us back to his home in the Cairngorms.
Of course my doorstep: the Cairngorms! But also exploring the West Coast and could spend hours being on the spectacular shores of Loch Coruisk.
In one of my old jobs I used to dress up as a clown and host children’s parties.
“We have been settled in the Highlands for over a decade and are very happy with our expanding family (including our labrador!) and are often found exploring local walks and cake shops.”
