Mini Bio

Originally from sunny Sussex in the very south of England, I spent many years working as an outdoor instructor during the summer and as a butcher in the winters. Any spare time I had I would disappear into Snowdonia or Lake District mountains for adventures.

The draw of the Mountains brought me to the Highlands, and I have spent the last few years enjoying climbing, biking and hiking in my local mountains.

I hold my Mountain Leader Summer Qualification.

In my spare time, I love to research more about how we can improve our approach to farming and producing local, great quality food in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way. I study a touch of agronomy/microbiology and like to visit projects around the UK that are helping to improve this.

Place to Play

Sutherland is always where my heart lays. The northwest of Scotland is so wild and rugged yet so peaceful.
Suilven was one of my first mountains and will always be my favourite. The walk-in is stunning and the views from the top just take your breath away.

After a quick run up Suilven, nipping across to Achmelvich Bay for a paddle-board or swim in fresh North Sea waves and sharing a pie from Lochinver Pie Shop with my dog is my perfect day.
