Upon arrival at Inverness Airport you will be met by your driver-guide. Kick-off your Highland honeymoon in style with a visit to one of Scotland’s most iconic locations. Cruise down Loch Ness searching for Nessie before alighting at the magnificent ruins of Urquhart Castle. These walls played a key role during the Wars of Independence as this was once one of Scotland’s largest castles.
Ancient royal hunting grounds call you this afternoon. Your guide rejoins you at the Castle and will take you to see the wild forest regeneration project at Dundreggan. Here you will follow in the footsteps of history as you plant a tree together to mark the start of your married life. This old custom symbolises how you will grow together and is a beautiful and unique permanent symbol of your union. After that, enjoy a romantic dinner for two at your Highland hotel.

Enjoy a relaxed morning to yourselves. After lunch, your guide will collect you and you will explore the atmospheric Culloden Battlefield. Subsequently, you will visit the nearby standing stones at Clava Cairns. This ancient site is extraordinarily well preserved. Later, tour a classic Scottish distillery and discover the nuances in ‘uisge beatha’, or ‘water of life’. There will be a special tutored tasting session afterwards. A true welcome to Scotland and a wonderful way to finish your day.
