Non-stop is the only way to describe life at Wilderness HQ this week!  There has been so much going on, that the days have almost turned into a blur, but not so much that we haven’t managed to pause for a few moments to capture some of the great things we have been getting up to in the Highlands of Scotland.

We’ve all been caught by the Olympics fever and have been making our own attempts to set new PBs and even try out some new activities – the office dress code for Friday has even been set as ‘Olympics’ – watch this space for photos of all the outfits!  No doubt there will be some show-stoppers!

    Highlights this Week:

    • Ultimate Family Adventure – we hosted travel writer Stanley Stewart and his family on a week of exciting family activities set in the spectacular surrounds of the Cairngorms National Park.  They sampled mountain biking, geocaching, canoeing, hiking and camping and we really hope everyone had a great time!
    • Sea Kayaking – a very experienced group of sea kayakers took to the deserted islands, wild coastlines and white-sand beaches of the Outer Hebrides to paddle crystal clear waters.  They had amazing weather, which resulted in 20km average paddling every day.  Impressive!
    • Sunshine – we’re not going to lie and say the sun has been splitting the trees non-stop, but it has been great this past week – most of us are starting to sport pretty healthy tans having been out and about on our own personal ‘Olympic’ missions, and the coming weekend looks set to be sunshine from start to finish!

Sorry we were a bit late this week with the post – we promise we’ll try not to let it happen again!  Regardless, we hope you have enjoyed seeing all we have been up to here at Wilderness Scotland – if you’ve been thinking of taking a trip north to Scotland – this weekend could be the time to hop on the train, and enjoy the amazing weather, abundance of activities and outstanding cakes!  And, as always, if you are enjoying the Highlands of Scotland – please do let us know all about it – we love to hear what you’ve been up to as well!

    Until next time…
