    Mini Bio

Being from the North East of Scotland, I grew up exploring Deeside and the Cairngorms National Park – kayaking, cycling, camping, climbing trees and getting muddy with the Scouts. Those early adventures sparked a lifelong love of wild places.

I studied sustainable tourism at university, spent a couple of sunny seasons on the Isle of Wight and gave city living a go in Edinburgh and Glasgow. After some time chasing mountain and lake adventures in New Zealand, I realised that coming home to Scotland and settling in the Highlands just made sense.

Walking is my thing, so you’ll probably find me up a hill somewhere. When I’m not hiking, I keep busy volunteering at festivals or helping to repair mountain paths – a great way to give back to the landscapes I use so often.

    Favourite Place to Play

Exploring new places is always exciting. I’m happiest at the top of a remote munro or watching a sunset next to the water after a refreshing dip. If I can combine the two, you’re onto a winner – so I’d say the West Coast and the North West Highlands are a bit of me.

Not a lot of People Know This

I’ve got a pretty eclectic taste in music, everything from 90’s dance and Scottish folk to techno and reggae. Music is my next biggest passion after the mountains, but I never mix the two; the mountains deserve my full attention (plus I’m usually focused on trying not to fall over).
