    Mini Bio

Born and raised in Romania, I have been living in Scotland for the past eight years and now consider Scotland my home. I fell in love with it when I arrived for what was supposed to be a 6 month internship in a travel agency, crafting itineraries across the UK and Ireland for travellers from outside the UK. The internship soon became a full time job that has nurtured my desire to explore the UK and Ireland, and particularly Scotland.

Over the past couple of years, I’ve travelled to many of the places I once recommended to others. Along the way, I also discovered a love for long-distance walking and completed several routes across Scotland with my girlfriends—the Cowal Way being my favourite. Moving at a slower pace let me experience the Scottish landscapes more deeply and truly immerse myself in their wild beauty.

    Favourite Place to Play

My favourite places to visit change with the seasons, allowing me to observe the changes in nature with each passing season.

During the spring and summer, I love spending time on the coast, particularly the Fife coast, where I enjoy exploring traditional fishing towns and walking barefoot on the beach. I spend my autumns walking in the forest, following nature’s changing colours, usually close to home in country parks like Beecraigs or Muiravonside.

During winter, I love to go where the snow is, so I spend my weekends walking around the paths in the Pentland Hills. Further afield, I love exploring the more peaceful parts of Scotland, such as the Kintyre Peninsula and its lovely beaches and quaint towns, or the more remote Rhins of Galloway, where cows and sheep outnumber the local human population. And if we are talking touristy, the Isle of Staffa is well worth a mention for the puffins that nest there and attract photographers and bird lovers alike.

Not a lot of People Know This

My passions are ever evolving so it’s sometimes hard to keep up.

My interest in history has taken me down a tour guiding path in my early 20s. My love for travel has led me down a career path in travel, from being a travel agent to a travel writer. My passion for dance has evolved from Latin dances like Salsa and Bachata to Brazilian dances like Zouk, and eventually to Belly dancing on Egyptian rhythms.

More recently, my fascination with plants and their healing properties has led me to study wild and medicinal plants. And my desire to better understand how to live authentically has led me to study human design. And next year, there will probably be something new on the horizon that will get me down yet another path of discovery.
