    Passionate | Supportive | Flapjacks

    Mini Bio

I’m fortunate enough to have been hill walking throughout the UK for most of my life, and I’m passionate about introducing people to the fantastic opportunities for adventure that are available here. Walking, scrambling, sea-kayaking, cycling, horse-riding, sailing – I’ve discovered many ways to explore over the years!

My heart lies in Scotland, though, where I am usually to be found up a hill (whatever the weather!), or taking a dip in a loch. The landscapes never fail to bring me joy, and I’m a strong believer in the benefits of time spent outdoors for mental health. I also love to cook, and am known for wandering the hills with a box of flapjacks to share.

I’m proud to be a trainee member of Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue, where I’m focusing on developing my medical and search skills.

    Favourite Place to Play

It just has to be the spectacular far North-West of Scotland – those mountains and beaches!

Not a lot of People Know This

I’m actually a physiotherapist by trade, but last year I decided to take the plunge and move to outdoor work. Don’t ask me to look at your sore knees, though, I worked in Intensive Care!

I’m lucky enough to have walked in quite a few countries, but nothing will beat spending 2 weeks walking across Scotland, from Shiel Bridge on the West coast, to St Cyrus Bay on the East side, in 2024.
