    Mini Bio

When I was a child, I spent most of my summer holidays exploring the Italian Alps with my family. As I grew up, it was inevitable for me to follow my parents’ passion and start searching for my own mountain adventures. This search brought me all over Europe until I discovered Scotland. The Highlands are a magic place, where culture and traditions mix with the environment, offering the perfect opportunity to discover amazing places. I love to show this to people with my work and to share it with friends in my everyday life.

I now spend most of my time in the Alps, but I’m always happy to come back to Scotland for a few months of the year to visit some of my favourite places and discover new ones.

    Favourite Place to Play

I love the Scottish islands, particularly that combination of steep mountains and stunning coastline. It’s a unique environment, very difficult to find anywhere else in the world. Outside of Scotland, I love to spend my time amongst some of the highest and most iconic peaks of the Alps.

Not a lot of People Know This

English is actually not my first language. Can you guess where I’m from?

I became a Mountain Leader in 2017 and since then I’ve been enjoying working in different areas of the UK, mainly Snowdonia and the Scottish Highlands. In 2020 I then gained my International Mountain Leader qualification and moved back to the Alps, where the majority of my work is now. I have experience working with children and teenagers on Duke of Edinburgh and international expeditions, but also with adults on multi-day treks in many different environments.

What Fellow Travellers Say About Cecilia

The Guide Cecilia was excellent and fit. She was helpful with us who were slow and not entirely fit for the trail. She was also encouraging to us to complete the hike. She was also resourceful to make alternative arrangement when some of us decide not to walk to the next destination. Also prompt in getting a piece of luggage that went astray to be delivered to the correct destination. Generally she was calm and equipped to resolve unexpected issues that arose during the trip.
We enjoyed her company and sharing of tips and information about the route including the flora of the Scottish Highlands.
