      Growing up in the Somerset Levels, I discovered the mountains on my childhood holidays to the Lake District and fell in love with the hills. I moved up as soon as I could to live there and have been venturing further North ever since. As a climber and walker, the adventures Scotland offers will last me a lifetime, although I have enjoyed trips to more far-flung places, including Greenland, the Himalaya and New Zealand. I love seeing people’s jaws drop when we arrive at the spectacular places we visit and discovering the hidden secrets of these landscapes.

      The Western Isles have to be the most out there feeling place in Scotland. Climbing, cycling or enjoying the beaches.

      Not a lot of People Know This

      I was once warden of the most remote Youth Hostel in England.
