    Mini Bio

I have been an outdoor enthusiast for 35 years, starting out rock climbing and mountaineering. I discovered mountain biking 30 years ago and have been on one ever since. I do venture onto road for training and have entered a few triathlons including the Big Ben Tri. I am passionate about leaving no trace and respecting the places I visit and travel through for future generations to enjoy.

I moved to Aviemore 2 years ago from the central belt of Scotland and often wonder why I didn’t do it years ago. The opportunities for doorstep adventures and micro adventure are endless.

Top marks for Neil. He was friendly, encouraging and an excellent driver. He sorted out the van issue at the start and the issue re faulty e bike. Was always there for us and worked very hard to make the holiday the great success it was.

As I’ve said. Stewart was superb. Excellent briefings, judged the amount of stops and breaks. Always there when needed. Very observant and attentive.

Just to reiterate. Stuart (sorry forgot last name...) is The Dude. Knowledgable, good advise, and supportive. We really considered him part of our team rather than an external. Couldn't have done this without you my friend :-)

Neil Wilson our guide with the factor that made a good holiday in to a great one. He was a relaxed knowledgeable and interesting source of information. Nothing thing was too much trouble .He came up with ideas and was receptive to our thoughts ; he knew when to advise and when to run with our schemes . Knowing that he was never far away when we were out and about was very reassuring and the little considerations in having snacks and drinks and on one occasion a top notch picnic ready was lovely .

Our driver was brilliant and the routes maps were very adequate. We didn't keep to them strictly as we were "self guided" but found them very helpful.

Sometimes it's nice to get family and friends together and travel privately for some quality time. This means you benefit from all the features of the group departure, including hand-picked accommodation and expert local guides and we'll take care of it all. Then you can make your choice of departures dates and we'll get back to you to finalise the details.

We work together with our team of guides to decide which departures they lead each year. As part of that, guides provide available dates that they are free to be booked.
