Cycle Route Notes
Starting in Ballater, there is a bit of height gained during the morning before a welcome cake and coffee stop. And here the challenge begins as we cycle over Cairn o’Mount. This is no easy challenge. 8.5Km of continual ascent to 455 metres above sea level with gradients of 15%. But the reward is a fabulous lunch atop a 4000 year old cairn with a panoramic view to die for. A fast but steady descent awaits!
After flying through daffodil fields and ancient towns you arrive at the charming Edzell.
Once there make sure you treat yourself to a soak in a spa pool! You will deserve it.
