    Experience Read More

I am an experienced wilderness guide with many years of sea kayaking, canoeing, sailing and mountaineering in some of the worlds wildest places. I am committed to the principles of ecotourism contributing positively to communities and wildlife in the places I work.

I am a Fellow of The Royal Geographical Society. I am a qualified Marine Wildlife Guide and Trainer for the WiSe Marine Wildlife Watching Scheme. If I were asked to state my USP it would be, expertise at creating outdoor experiences and training to help deeply connect people with both place and experience. I am championing the Leave No Trace message in the UK, liaising with a range of agencies and organisations to get a consistent picture on best practice relating to responsible recreational activity in our wild lands.  I am passionate about sea kayak & canoe expeditions and have paddled in many varied locations from Antarctic Peninsula, Greenland, Baffin Island, Norway, Sweden, Sardinia, Croatia, Austria, France, Canada, Madagascar, New Zealand, West and East coast USA as well as extensively in my home waters of Scotland. In recent years I have been providing consulting services to adventure travel businesses and DMO’s around the world. To date Oman, Namibia, Ireland, Armenia, Georgia, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Norway and Kyrgyzstan.
