The trip was more than I could have wished for (plus the weather was fantastic). The crew, Gabe, Jasper and Chloe, were informative, helpful and fun. The food (made by the incredible Chloe - the owner of the boat) was consistently superb and imaginative. Our guide, Mike, was absolutely what I needed - encouraging and supportive, informative but fun.
The whole package of a wonderful old boat, sailing, hidden places, great mountain walks, fantastic food and lovely company. It will stay with me for a long time.
Accommodation & Food
Accommodation on the Eda Frandsen is very compact but served all my needs. However, I think it would be quite useful to really stress how very compact it is just in case someone is extremely large or takes too much gear.
Mike is an absolutely great guide. He spent time and encouraged everyone. As far as I'm concerned - although used to mountains and wild places, I was apprehensive that as I'd slowed down quite a bit (age and other factors) I'd be holding folk up. However, Mike spurred everyone on - and in the end I was absolutely 'chuffed' that I climbed and enjoyed all the hills. Thanks so much Mike.
