    Mini Bio

Originally from the Welsh borders, I grew up with an outdoor-active family. My dad, in particular, was a keen hillwalker and kayaker—it’s definitely where I got my sense of adventure from!

My family used to own an old VW camper van, we used to pack it up and head away for weeks at a time during the summer holidays. Some of my favourite childhood memories were spent on the West Coast of Scotland. I’ve always felt an affinity with the place, and it’s probably why I ended up settling here many years later.

I spent several years in the Royal Air Force, where I was lucky to live in various locations across the UK and overseas. After being posted to Scotland for work, I decided to swap the military career for a slower pace of life here in the Highlands – I haven’t looked back since!

    Favourite Place to Play

We’re privileged to live in such an incredible place. I enjoy exploring from my doorstep, including the Cairngorms and the beaches along the Moray Firth. Glen Feshie, in particular, is a special place for me.

But my ultimate favourite place is the Outer Hebrides, especially in autumn when the beaches are completely empty, wild and vast. The surf can be really impressive at this time of year, too… Offtt!

Not a lot of People Know This

I’m a novice silversmith in my spare time, and I like making jewellery in my shed… I’m just chuffed if my creations stay in one piece!!
