Originally from mid-Wales, I spent most of my teenage years exploring the local crags, trails and rivers in search of new adventures. I have lived in the highlands for 6 years now and I love exploring new remote regions of this beautiful country.

I am lucky enough to call Aviemore home with my young family where I enjoy spending long days on the bike looking for singletrack gold.

    Place to play

Torridon was one of the first places I visited before moving up to Scotland, and the scenery just blew me away. I think for this reason it has a special place in my heart.

Not a lot of people know this

I use to be fluent in Welsh, sadly I don’t get to use it much in Scotland so my vocabulary is rapidly decreasing.

Competant and friendly guides, who made the trip a great experience.

The garmin's should be strongly recommended. They were offered if we wanted them but they were important as the group did not stay together. If a guide isn't there a garmin should be with the biker.

They were great. Even though they had not worked together previously there was a "team" attitude. They also had very different personalities, backgrounds, and interests, and that added to the breath of the group experience.

Despite them having not visited the trip destinations before, they got everything right, showed great attention to detail and coped admirably well with a group whose cycling experience / abilities were very wide ranging

Very impressed with both guides. They went the extra mile to make sure that all the guests were comfortable and catered for. As per other trips, they were fed a curved-ball in terms of guest mix of abilities - but they managed this well. Both Dan and Andy were thoughtful, well-organised, chatty and caring. Can't fault.

Guides were great just seemed stressed by logistics of the ferries and the need to find alternate transportation

They were very eager to meet the needs of each of the guests. They were great at adjusting to unexpected events that arose during the rides. But the logistics of the ferries and the fact that the van did not accommodate everybody seemed to be a stressor
Overall I would be very happy to be on another trip guided by either Dan or Sam or both. They were knowledgeable and made the trip fun

    Make Trip Private

Sometimes it's nice to get family and friends together and travel privately for some quality time. This means you benefit from all the features of the group departure, including hand-picked accommodation and expert local guides and we'll take care of it all. Then you can make your choice of departures dates and we'll get back to you to finalise the details.

We work together with our team of guides to decide which departures they lead each year. As part of that, guides provide available dates that they are free to be booked. This means that any of the dates you see in the first field of the form below, could be perfect for your private departure or customised tour.
