Great trip descriptions and helpful briefs re equipment, packing, accom etc Save for my last email (I chased reply by phone re what to wear on day 1), v responsive helpful team. Could easily be a 10. What stopped me? First, always tough to be given the wrong information when checking price. My budget was tight so it was important and having confirmed it by email to be sure, I was then told there was a single supplement for a single bed room. I usually travel as a couple and now understand why this is such a bugbear even though the reply was suitably apologetic! The itinerary was unclear about the first day and whether we needed to be kayak-ready at point of rendez-vous. Ideally I like a bit of privacy changing. Especially amongst strangers. Greater consideration appreciated here. I think you could describe the first day much better. Dave and Mike referred to the first paddle as a 'shake down' and I think it's a great phrase, which reflects the intention to ensure we are out on the water on day 1 and all set up - kayak fit, skills brush up, group dynamic - so we can make the most of our full day kayaks.

Terrific guides, really first class in terms of knowledge and experience of kayaking, leading/managing a group & also seeing the bigger picture - the cultural opportunities, social dynamic. They were generous with their knowledge and I have come away a better, more confident kayaker, which was my goal. Iona circumnavigation was a terrific experience and they made sure it happened by switching days according to the weather. You always felt that Dave and Mike wanted everyone to have a great experience by day, by hour, by minute. They stretched us but I very much felt I was in safe pair of hands. The accomodation was great - comfy and lovely location overlooking a lich, with a footpath to Fionnphort just a short distance away. Great for a leg stretch and pub/shop to hand. Linda provided hearty, sustaining dinners and breakfasts. Just the ticket.

Expensive, but then the guides were outstanding - second to none - and the whole experience was beautifully crafted. It wasn't just a kayak trip, it was an adventure and cultural immersion. Scotland on a plate.

This was definitely an experience of a lifetime for me. The group was inclusive and friendly. The guides were awesome. Loved the food the scenery and the skills i gained.

Wilderness Scotland kayaking trips are brilliant, what a privilege it was to kayak in the Outer Hebrides. I was blown away by the landscapes of Harris. Excellent locations, sound equipment, carefully planned and safe trips led by caring and charismatic guides, who really do know their stuff. Other companies just don't compare.
