Growing up in South Wales, my passion for the outdoors began as a teenager when I got my first surfboard. I’ve always loved being outside in whatever form that takes: climbing, paddling, skiing, surfing, or biking.

I first came to Scotland on a winter climbing trip with friends and fell in love with its beauty, wildness, and history. After that, I trained as an outdoor instructor and now happily call the Cairngorms National Park my home.

Working as a guide allows me to share my passion for the outdoors with others. I enjoy meeting new people and forming connections with them over a shared love of this beautiful country.

The northwestern Scottish coastline provides excellent climbing, great surf, and some quality food spots!

I am probably the world’s most enthusiastic yet terrible fisherman. Two years in, and I’ve caught three fish. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

What Fellow Travellers Say About Aidan

I can't say enough good things about Aidan! Let me try, though :) First, his knowledge of the trail systems, the terrain and the flora and fauna was superb. He was able to point out animals and explain about plants everywhere we went. And, he knew enough about the trails to be able to shift the schedule to make the best choices for the weather we were expecting. Aidan set a pace on the trails that was sustainable, but did push us sometimes ... which I appreciated. He was patient and unflappable, easily handling the unexpected with good humor and common sense. But mostly, he was kind. His easy-going personality was a pleasure to be around, and he was unfailingly cheerful and attentive. I can't imagine a guide doing a better job than Aidan did. Make sure you hold onto him!
