    Mini Bio

I was lucky enough to be brought up by parents who loved the outdoors, and before I could walk, I was carried up Munros in a homemade kiddy carrier on my dad’s back. This formative experience led to a personally and professionally enjoyable life in the mountains and on the sea.

Scotland has been my home for the past 30 years, and the Highlands definitely are where my heart is. Work and play have taken me to every corner of Scotland, and now, in my semi-retirement, I’m looking forward to sharing my love of the hills, mountains and coastline with others.

Not a lot of People Know This

I spent 17 years in the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team, helping rescue people who got into difficulties in the mountains. I also trained and qualified with the Search & Rescue Dog Association with my collie dog, Milly.
