Originally from the Cotswolds, I moved to the Scottish Highlands in 2020. I spend my time running in the forests and mountains near home, sea and whitewater kayaking, and planning impromptu multi-day bike trips. I firmly believe that the outdoors is a space for everyone and that most importantly, it should be fun!

I’ve been working in the outdoors for 10 years, focusing on bushcraft, outdoor youth work, school expeditions, and sea kayak guiding in New Zealand.

We all loved Helen, right from the start age she was engaging and fabulous company. She was the most wonderful asset to our trip and we felt lucky to have her. We had so much fun with her and laughed our way through the days. Helen was encouraging when needed and guided us seamlessly through the days she was with us. She left us feeling positive about being on our own after she left. She is a wonderful asset to Wilderness, a warm and capable guide.

Helen was fantastic - friendly , enthusiastic and knowledgeable , flexible- she was happy to join us on a hike that wasn't on the WS recommendations, one that she hadn't done, so she was pleased to have done it for future reference, , Sadly she was only able to guide us for the first half of the tour. We self-guided for the second half
