    Mini Bio

After many years in the hospitality industry, I became a Senior Event Coordinator for a large hotel and leisure resort in Perthshire where I coordinated a huge variety of conferences, weddings and special occasions. On the year of my 30th birthday, I decided to take some time out of work to chill out for a few months and so I bought myself a little camper van. In the summer of 2014, me and my trusty Turbo Alick spent over 3 months exploring the stunning landscapes of the North West Coast, Skye and the Outer Hebrides.

    Favourite Place to Play

It has to be Glenshee which was on my doorstep growing up. My family still live in the area so I love going home to enjoy Glenshee’s mountains, peaceful glens, lochs, forest tracks and of course the ski centre. Gleann Taitneach in particular has been one of my favourite places to go ever since I was a little girl when we used to go swimming in the ‘secret’ pools.

Not a lot of People Know This

I used to be really shy (apparently not so much anymore!)

What Fellow Travellers Say About Kirsty

Probably the best part of the trip was our guide, Kirsty.

Kirsty looked after us well, in an unobtrusive way. She provided interesting information without too much detail.

I can not give enough praise for Kirsty! Our group repeatedly talked about how wonderful she was, even after the trip! She was super informed about area and the history of the highlands. She was also super curious, so if she didn't know an answer at first, she would research it and let us know later! We had a relatively diverse group of people and Kristy was fantastic at catering the tour to meet everyone's needs. She had a good variety of hikes of different challenges- and I felt awesome and accomplished at the end of them! We had a lot of weather related challenges- but Kirsty was able to adjust the tour quickly and still ensure we got to see the sights! She has the perfect demeanor to lead the group and I would follow her anywhere.

Kirsty was knowledgeable, friendly and innovative - how many travellers have Sorley MacLean's poem "Hallaig" read to them at the top of Dun Caan? Particular praise is due as the weather was not ideal, and the itinerary had to be adjusted for e.g. high winds or mist and driving rain. A very high standard of guiding.

Very pleased with Kirsty's attentiveness and interaction during. She did very well with extra attentiveness to things we might enjoy! She found some Heather honey for us! Also very nice for her to be from the area and know the history. Also appreciated the knowledge of plants and wildlife.

It’s great to walk with a person who enjoys walking. Kirsty did a great job of responding to the group and tailoring the itinerary.
