Mini Bio
After many years in commerce and education, I finally landed my dream job as a professionally trained and qualified tourist guide for Scotland.
Born and raised in Glasgow, I have travelled far and wide around the globe and back again for work and leisure, but Scotland truly is my home and my heartland.
My own family history is deeply rooted in the Highlands. This means I know from personal experience just how amazing it is to explore ancestral places and learn their history and secrets.
I understand why Scotland is a dream destination and a homecoming journey. In deference to the motto of my Clan MacLean, I should say it would indeed be my “honour” to be your guide.
Place to Play
Scotland has a landscape steeped in history and tradition with dramatic scenery and seascapes but is also buzzing with vibrant urban spaces and cosmopolitan cities. I could make a very long list of fabulous locations and things to do – but what’s most important are your interests and priorities. I’d be delighted to discuss how to make your holiday a positively memorable experience wherever you’d like to visit.
Not a lot of people know this
During my university studies in Germany, I worked in a ball-bearing factory. Not once but twice, I have cycled from northwest France over the Pyrenees to Bilbao in Spain – on a 1960s tandem with a trailer! I am a fan of Robert Burns, Outlander, Folklore, Scottish Hip-Hop, ceilidh dancing, and aquafit, and I enjoy making chandeliers from bike parts and other random stuff.
