Mini Bio
Originally from Edinburgh I moved to the West Highlands in 2010 leaving behind a staff nurse post to go back to university. Four years later I had a degree in Adventure Tourism Management (a degree in having fun) and had started working as a guide.
I now spend much of year guiding and the rest working as a technician in theatre and live events. How I got into this work is a whole other story! Nursing was a career that I am really glad to have experienced however the chance to follow a passion was too great and I am now really happy in everything I do for a living.
Place to play
Wherever the wind takes me. I do have my favourite parts of Scotland and the UK but there are still many places I haven’t been and I absolutely love getting to explore somewhere completely new. I’m a big fan of mountain ridges but also quite fond of my couch with a good book and a cup of tea.
Not a lot of people know this
I sometimes work in fireworks and pyrotechnics and have worked on some of the biggest shows in the UK including the London Eye New Year display and the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Can be messy graft but fun too.
