    What can you expect at the Wilderness Office

    Would you like to join the Wilderness Scotland team? Do you have great attention to detail, a passion for outstanding service and a love of adventure? Is being based in the Cairngorms National Park a bit of a dream location?

    Based from an incredible, modern, purpose built, warehouse style office in Aviemore in the Cairngorms National Park, we offer a special combination of interesting roles, flexible working, career opportunity and a supportive culture in which you will thrive as an individual and team member. Whilst the pandemic temporarily stalled our growth, we are looking to build our team for the future. Not only that, we have also been recognised as the 8th Best Small UK Workplace & 6th Best Small UK Workplace for Women in the 2018 Great Place to Work awards scheme rising to the UK’s  6th Best Small Workplace in 2020. We were also awarded Excellence in Wellbeing in 2020.

    What do we typically look for in successful candidates across all roles?

    • A strong and clear commitment to customer service excellence and “extra mile” delivery.
    • Good IT skills with experience of cloud-based CRM systems such as Salesforce, Google Drive and Mac applications
    • Strong administration and organisational skills, with the ability to maintain accuracy even when very busy.
    • Attention to detail, even when faced with multiple tasks and deadlines
    • Good interpersonal skills, awareness and emotional intelligence with an ability to develop and sustain internal & external business relationships.
    • A natural collaborator who enjoys working in teams with a diverse range of individuals
    • A genuine interest, knowledge and passion for adventure in the regions where Wilderness operates.
    • Is committed to sustainability and is an advocate for wild places and our planet
    • Has experience in a similar role, ideally in the travel and tourism sector

    That said, a passion for what we are trying to achieve as a business coupled with a desire to help make this happen goes a long way, so please don’t be put off applying just because you don’t tick all of the above.     Operations Team

    Operations Coordinator

    As part of our operations team, you will have responsibility for the considered and precise logistics on any given trip departure within your allocated set of departures. You will collaborate with sales, operations, guides and external suppliers to ensure a seamless trip delivery to our clients.

    Data & Technology Team

    IT Support Technician

    Your role will support the Head of Data & Technology across the Active Travel Group with a primary focus on first line support and administration of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace & Salesforce. Your role will be varied and flexible and include some support and administration of our Salesforce CRM system, working alongside a small team to provide solutions and improvements to the platform.
