    A Great Place to Work

We are delighted to announce that Wilderness Scotland has received an Excellence in Wellbeing Award from the Great Place to Work awards scheme.

This scheme is the largest workplace survey in the world and we’re so pleased to be recognised and also appreciate the valuable feedback that we’ve received through the process. At Wilderness Scotland and Ireland we really advocate a healthy work-life balance and mental wellbeing.

To be recognised for this award our staff were surveyed on the below dimensions that define wellbeing
    • Work environment
    • Financial security
    • Mental and physical health
    • Interpersonal relationships
    • Work-life balance
    • Fulfilment at work
Some of our shared team benefits
    • Flexible working
    • Working from home
    • Wilderness Weeks – 1 week for each team member when they can join one of our trips for free
    • Volunteering – each team member encouraged to take the equivalent of two working days throughout the year to volunteer with local organisations
    • Wilderness Days – half a day each month to get outside as a team
    • Free lunchtime yoga once a week
    • Pro Discounts – with our trade partners such as Haglofs and Trek

Want to be part of the awesomeness that is Team Wilderness? We’ve got positions opening up in the near future…

    Meet the Author: Meike Burgess

“Having grown up travelling across the world I've developed an addiction to all things spice and to travel! When it was time to go to university I wandered off to Scotland for a new adventure and now 10+ years later I've not managed to leave yet. Scotland's welcoming culture, beautiful scenery and a Scottish man captured my heart. Moving to Scotland has made me develop a passion for the outdoors and I love heading out for an explore.”
