Three Brand New Walking Trips for 2018

Posted on Aug 30, 2017 by Sonja Jones

We’ve just put the finishing touches on our brand new trips for 2018. These three amazing walking trips will have you dusting off your hiking boots before you know it.

We think there’s something special for you, no matter what kind of walker you are – from those who love to bag a summit to those who relish an evening in luxurious surroundings after their exertions, as well as those who want to pack in as much as they can during their precious time off. Whatever your brand of wanderlust we hope our carefully crafted guided trips for 2018 will inspire you.

High Points of Caingorms

1. Wilderness Walking – High Points of the Cairngorms National Park

If you like to survey the landscape from up on high this is the trip for you. Many of the UK’s highest peaks reside here in the Cairngorms National Park and, best of all, it’s our own backyard so we can’t wait to share some of our favourite walks. We’ll focus on hiking to some of the finest peaks in the area, and enjoy wild mountain views everywhere we go. We’ll be based in our own private wilderness lodge which is perfect if you like to unpack just once. You’ll have plenty of time to spend enjoying the tranquil surroundings of Glen Feshie so be sure to pack your binoculars too as there are plenty of rare and iconic wildlife hiding in the pinewoods.

£1,495 pp includes:

6 nights in a private wilderness lodge, all meals and transfers during the trip.

Your Wilderness Guide will provide your small group with their professional expertise and knowledge throughout.

Start and finish point: Aviemore, Cairngorms National Park

Grading: Intermediate Blue, 6

2. Luxury Walking – North Highland Coast

This is your chance to explore the very top of Scotland in style. Our wonderful base for this trip is a luxurious wilderness lodge secluded in acres of wildland. From here we’ll explore the farthest reaches of the North Highland Coast – a wild and spectacular coastline of sea stacks, caves, churning waters and seabirds – and then return to the luxury of our lodge each evening to taste some of the best food in Scotland prepared by the lodge’s personal chef.

£3,095 pp includes:

6 nights in exclusive and luxurious Highland Lodge, all meals including wine with dinner, and transfers during the trip.

Your Wilderness Guide will provide your small group with their professional expertise and knowledge throughout.

Start and finish point: Inverness

Intermediate Grading: Blue, 4

3. Wilderness Walking – National Parks of the UK

Make the most of your holiday time by exploring five of the UK’s national parks in one trip. Our first cross-border walking trip is a veritable feast of beautiful natural landscapes featuring National Parks in both Scotland and Northern England. We begin in the largest and most northerly of the UK’s national parks – the majestic Cairngorms and slowly make our way south through the stunning Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park made famous by Rob Roy McGregor. After hiking along Hadrian’s Wall amongst the green hills of Northumberland we head to beautiful rolling scenery of the Yorkshire Dales – our fourth National Park. The final leg of our trip takes in the Lake District National Park which earned its UNESCO status in the summer of 2017  – hiking around these waters make a fitting end for our journey through these National Parks of the UK.

£2,195 pp includes:

9 nights in country inns and hotels, all meals and transfers during the trip.

Your Wilderness Guide will provide your small group with their professional expertise and knowledge throughout.

Start point: Aviemore, Cairngorms National Park

Finish point: Penrith, Lake District National Park
