All went smoothly.
Trip Comments
The pre-trip material described a green hike as - mostly good paths and hill trails but these can still be muddy and rough in places. - Now that we have been there and back I can say they were mostly muddy, wet and rough but if we knew that before we went we would never have booked. We were wet and tired and as happy as two people could be. Justin insisted on carrying my pack on one hike and I will forever be eternally grateful. Also, the van we rode around in was extremely comfortable.
Accommodation and Food
Our room was large with a view of the Loch Broome. The long shelf in the bathroom held everything you needed for easy quick prep for the day. Breakfast was very good as were the packed lunches and dinners in town.
Your Guide
Colin and Justin knew all there was to know about the locations we visited. They considered the weather and any factors to make sure everyone was comfortable. I will always consider Justin my very own guardian angel.
The Bottom Line
We had never gone on a trip like this and have to say it was an excellent experience. When we met on Wednesday morning we were strangers and by our departure on Sunday we were truly friends. We can say we had a fabulous time surrounded by the Scottish Highlands and our like-minded companions even if we were dog tired and our socks were wet.

Someone picked up the phone when I called. Someone returned my call if I left a message. Someone responded to my email when I emailed.
Trip Comments
There is absolutely NOTHING you could have done to make the trip excellent except for improving the weather and letting me hand pick my fellow riders.
Accommodation and Food
Let's face it. This is the UK, not France or Italy. No one goes to the UK for the food.
Your Guide
The guides were the BEST! They absolutely made the trip. They were very perceptive, organized and upbeat.
The Bottom Line
Excellent guides. Plus, I was impressed with how supportive Wilderness Scotland was when the guides needed additional help in the form of a third guide (Craig)

you were flexible - we joined you at Plockton, at our request, and not at Inverness
Trip Comments
well organised, relaxed. All participants of similar kayaking ability/experience, so everyone able to join in equally
Accommodation and Food
the accommodation was excellent. The food was great too, but it was a bit confusing for the Hotel and clients concerning the 2 meals to be paid for by Wilderness Scotland. Maybe easier if all evening meals paid for by clients at the time [i.e. not pre-paid as part of the inclusive cost of the trip].
Your Guide
Howard and Paul were excellent. Fun, very supportive, hard-working, and good coaching without being over-bearing. It was great to have Mel along too as a participant, and she did lots of organising tasks, too.
The Bottom Line
Fun, and competence/experience required matched the trip description on your website

Accommodation and Food
The single man tent was very small. The one piece tarp did not fit well over the tent.
Luckily is only rained one day. However, if this is my only complaint, I consider myself to be very lucky. I give the overall experience a 10 hands down!
Your Guide
The itinerary changed somewhat. But we worked well with the guides to create a once in a lifetime experience.
The Bottom Line
I am only giving this a four and not a five because one cannot predict the weather.
But, if the conditions we experienced were guaranteed, I could put my name on an absolute recommendation.

Friendly and helpful office team.
Trip Comments
Good because the guides were excellent and the kayaking experience was superb. The locations we went to were wonderful. Not excellent because I thought it was expensive: the standard of the accommodation was not reflected in the cost of the trip.
Accommodation and Food
Accommodation was workable but cramped. Showers iffy. Good to have a dry room. Great first evening meal cooked by the guides. The lunches were of our own making. Restaurants were good.
Your Guide
The guides were brilliant; supportive, knowledgeable. and fun. There was very good organisation, communication and leadership.- it saved a lot of time - our equipment was always ready, we knew what we had to do individually and as a team and what to expect and this built a strong sense of cohesion in the team. On the water, the teaching skills were great the guides built confidence, were supportive and there was a sense of having progressed by the end of each day.
The Bottom Line
An enjoyable kayaking experience, The highlight was to be on the water in such beautiful places with stunning views. The guides were fantastic, the tuition great. and overall it was fun to learn to move on a kayak. My second time with Wilderness Scotland.

Maybe a little Facebook group could be formed or email addresses exchanged (if individuals desire) so initial introductions could be made before actually meeting to get an idea of who you'll be holidaying with
Trip Comments
Well organised with great leaders. Maybe the standard of my beginners / intermediate open canoe course was at a slightly higher level than I was expecting
Accommodation and Food
Evening meals excellent, so was breakfast in one hotel but breakfast and packed lunch in another was only average
Your Guide
Very committed and clearly experienced, not just in canoeing but in the environment we passed through. Having photos taken and supplied via an internet link was a nice touch
The Bottom Line
Above average holiday experience with expert and committed guides who will happily go the extra mile to provide a first class holiday
