    Mini Bio

I love the outdoor life, experiencing the elements in all their variety. The Scottish landscape inspires me with a deep sense of well-being and belonging. Born and bred in Glasgow, I spent my youth hiking, skiing and canoeing all over Scotland. Then after studying at the University of Glasgow I left for sunnier climes to lead treks in Spain’s Sierra Nevada and cultivate olives and almonds on an organic smallholding for many years. It’s great to be back home!

    Favourite Place to Play

I’m on a journey of lifelong learning and like to listen carefully and ask questions so that knowledge is shared and not imparted from above. My particular interests are in social history, anthropology, customs and traditions, especially poetry and songs. Food and drink are important to me as well, as I like to cook and entertain.
